What the local climate means for chimney inspection in La Canada Flintridge
The 2009 Station Fire burned within La Canada Flintridge city limits, and the foothill neighborhoods still face ember risk whenever Santa Ana winds blow. A chimney cap with a sound spark arrestor screen is the first defense at the roofline. We check the mesh for rust and gaps and confirm the cap is fastened tightly, since strong wind can lift a loose one off the flue. That reality shapes our timeline, the materials we bring, and what we note in the written report once the visit wraps.
